Curious Owl

This is a watercolor of a photo from wildwildthings.wordpress.com that I did as a gift to a friend (ie, not intended for sale, ever). Boy did I stuff up that background, but the light mauve-y purple works very well with the golden colors of the barn owl.

These animals are so striking. Going to have to try and do one of my own flying, with that translucent glow to the wings...
